JOB OVERVIEW:
The Sales Strategy Program Manager supervises, motivates, and coordinates the activities of the sales department and supports Executive Sales Leaders. Manages formulation and execution of sales strategies through the full project lifecycle, including project scope, approval, estimation, execution, implementation, and support to ensure planned results are achieved on time. Works with all stakeholders to understand internal and external factors of the market, customers and their needs, and internal capabilities to coordinate project execution. Maintains the project plan and reports consolidated Risks, Actions, Issues and Decision (RAID) and weekly status reporting.  

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
  • Provides research and assistance to leadership in the development and design of new business cases and projects, including gathering and analyzing pertinent data to support business cases.
  • Establish trust and build relationships with internal and external clients by understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Analyze current customer sentiment and experience to refine strategies to ensure project delivers on documented client expectations.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with ability to explain plans, laying out changes, and fostering collaboration with internal and external teams.
  • Possess sales acumen of intense self-motivation, anticipates internal and external customer needs, offers in-depth knowledge of Equity’s capabilities, and knows how to relate tasks to overall success.
  • Demonstrates Strategic Thinking relates to sales trends, resource shortages, potential bottlenecks, and cost changes.
  • Demonstrates Problem-solving by examining issues and figuring out solutions, understanding plans change and evolve to overcome challenges and obstacles.
  • Acts as primary Project Manager for sales team projects and coordinates involvement across the firm for all project team members and PMO; adheres to Equity Trust Company (ETC) project management methodology.
  • Creates Project Charters, detailed project plans, and schedules using available tools (MS Project, Wrike, or similar) with estimated delivery dates and frequent milestones by working with project stakeholders.
  • Works with PMO to adhere to prioritization of projects; when conflicts arise between priorities, escalates to PMO Management/Executive Management for clarification.
  • Maintains formal project documentation including scheduling, timeline, meeting agendas, status updates, scope changes, RAID, etc. and communicates status to Project Stakeholders and PMO.
  • Serves as a liaison with outside vendors to coordinate project involvement.
  • Facilitates meetings with project members to understand and document business needs/requirements.
  • Works with technical staff to create estimate of resources required for completion of objectives.
  • Adheres to Equity’s change control process after scope and requirements have been approved.
  • Work beyond Sales Team boundaries in cross-functional capacity to incorporate other groups.
  • Ensure projects stay on budget through efficient delivery of solutions to maximize opportunity.
  • Communicate well with project teams to motivate buy-in to projects and perform tasks efficiently.
  • Creates project closure memos upon project completion and presents to stakeholders for review and improvement, analyzes results achieved vs. results expected at prescribed intervals.
  • Holds regular support meetings with managers to understand future needs.
  • Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to leadership as necessary.
  • Manage and maintain calendar appointments for Sales Executives, including conflicting demands and changes to schedules.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Masters preferred.
  • Experience with project management in a sales environment preferred.
  • 5 years experience required.
  • Experience with Software development methodologies and change management procedures.
  • Financial services experience preferred.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
  • None required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
